Section 1: The Nature of Scientific Arguments

The two materials included in this section are intended to provide students with an overview of the unit and an introduction to scientific argumentation. The materials included here will be valuable in creating expectations for the remainder of the unit. Furthermore, the students will develop a framework for thinking about and assessing scientific arguments that will be necessary for work on Comparing Explanatory Models (Section 2).
