Learning Outcomes As students study within the EMS course, they should develop an understanding of particular concepts in near-Earth astronomy, as well as concepts about the nature of scientific practice more generally. Moreover, they should also develop facility with skills related to doing science and the norms of classroom behavior that enable student discussions to be constructive. The Learning Outcomes for the EMS course are consistent with many of those recommended by AAAS in Benchmarks for Science Literacy and the NRC in the National Science Education Standards. You can use the links in the menu on the left to read more about how our Learning Outcomes align with those found in these national documents. |
