Course Material 2B: Moonrise and Moonset

In this material, students examine data on moonrise and moonset times for a two week period. After noting the general pattern in the data (the Moon rises approximately one hour later each day), they elaborate their EMS model to account for this new phenomenon.

Students complete a pretest about Moon phenomena and create a POM to explain what causes the phenomenon of moonrise and moonset.
